Social Media & Nuclear Energy  

The ANS Winter conference is in full swing and while there are a great many sessions of interest on the official calendar, there is an unaffiliated panel meeting after hours that we highly recommend. 

It is a Dialogue on Social Media & Nuclear Energy co-sponsored by AREVA and Cool Hand Nuke.  Here you will find the best in nuclear industry bloggers and thought leaders.  This will be the 2nd meeting of nuclear blogger minds and I am sure that you will be left impressed with their experience, the conversation and the efforts of all involved.

The list of panelists and attendees includes the following:

Now to the good part.  Why is this important? 

Well, simply stated this is where the future lies and the future is now.   Nuclear energy and its supporters must be willing to engage and embrace new technologies that allow us to further our aim - the expansion of safe, reliable, clean, nuclear energy. 

If we do not actively participate in the new, social media with the ensuing dialogue then we will eventually become victim to it as a decision to avoid cedes the conversation to the under-informed and those pushing their own agenda.  This is our opportunity to inform, engage and shape the conversations needed in order to secure a peaceful, nuclear future.  So if you're at the ANS Winter meeting you owe it to yourself and to the rest of us to stop by and engage.
